Namibia Webcam
This Namibia webcam is situated in Windhoek, the capital and largest city of the Republic of Namibia. Windhoek, with its population of some 300,000, was recognised as the capital city of South-West Africa following independence from South Africa in 1990 as the country emerged as the independent nation of Namibia. Up to that point the area had been regarded by South Africa as its fifth province, although never actually absorbed into South Africa itself.
Windhoek has been described as Africa's most un African city with its centre filled with German style buildings reflecting Germany's colonial interests there and today has a European cafe culture. After you've viewed our Namibia webcam (when its operational) check out our video of Windhoek below and explore the city using our interactive map.
