In the short time it has taken for you to find, then load this page more African children have died from starvation. That's one child from Africa every six seconds. That's not a click of the fingers every six seconds and a child dies, but a long painful journey of malnourishment, pain and suffering, all the worse for very young children who cannot understand why their bodies are suffering so badly. And then they close their eyes. And its over. But its just beginning for millions more.

For decades, money has been poured into the poorest nations of the Earth and yet still children are dying needlessly. Fortunately, gone are the days when food was simply delivered to communities which was then eaten and the wait would begin for the next truck load. Today, with child sponsor programs, children are helped within their own community to develop sustainable lives by providing goats, chickens and seeds and water to help grow their own food, receive better healthcare and receive education so that these foundations can be built upon for a better and long lasting future.

You can make a difference. We're not asking that you necessarily take on a long lasting child sponsor role (although we would urge you to do so) but we do ask that you help provide a clean water tap, a mosquito net, some seeds or perhaps a goat to provide milk.
